If you add better heads, compression and a good exhaust with a cam matched, then a RPM or RPM air gap is a nice intake to look for. If you use a L79 cam (.447 lift, 222 duration @ .050) to test both a performer and a RPM, on a 350, you'll see little difference, because the cam is all done by 5000 or 5500 RPM.
