WebDec 18, 2024 · Well, that’s subjective, but BCGs vary in weight and finish. Finish isn’t as important as weight when it comes to tuning a gun. Lighter BCGs means less mass is moving rearward, and less mass means less recoil. Not only that but less mass to move rearward means less gas needed to operate the gun. Less gas means more recoil. WebJan 21, 2024 · Accelerating the BCG too fast can be caused by a couple factors. -too light of a system (bcg+buffer) -too short of a gas system -too large of a gas port If you read between the lines here you can probably understand that some systems with short barrels are inherently a compromise on some of these. WebOct 12, 2016 · I am looking at a Faxon lightweight gunner BCG. It is around 8.5 oz complete. The meat and potatoes of this rifle is a BCM 9" barrel and JP SCS system (standard everything).
