Definitely more geared towards a finger picker. Next, the D18 immediately was much warmer sounding while strumming and also sounded great finger picking.

What I noticed with my HD-28 after buying it new in '94 is that it started to warm up and sweeten after a couple years of steady playing. Also, I keep two bridge saddles handy, one for winter and one for summer.
