It's because when the Windows 10 Start menu is enabled, I redirect explorer.exe to using a legacy version of AppResolver.dll which is needed so that pinning stuff from File Explorer windows works for the Start menu.. I'll wait to try updating until this is fixed. I have this issue on two different machines and it was resolved by dropping back to an earlier EP release.

WebMar 24, 2024 · From the Task Manager opened a browser, downloaded the latest version of explorer patcher, and installed it. From the Task Manager started explorer.exe. Seems to work ok now. After that, restarted the computer, went through the extra options and settings mentioned earlier, and now it looks ok.
