WebThe difference is very apparent between, say, a Rusty Plasma Rifle and a Tactical Junk Jet, even though both average 17 damage. The Junk Jet will waste a lot of damage killing enemies at very low health while the Plasma Rifle will kill that one enemy and move on to the next in the same burst. So if an enemy is on the verge of death, a flamer/single shot will overkill it, & the dmg is wasted. An automatic will switch targets in the middle of the firing cycle, so there's less waste.
