WebThe plant is Carolina yellow jessamine, Gelsemium sempervirens. I’ve had the plant/it’s been in the ground since early October 2024. The leaves have had an orange tint and some dark spots since March, but the white rings and holes in the leaves are new. Also the roots coming out on top of the soil is new as well, maybe a week. The only reasons it usually doesn't bloom is if it is growing in too much shade, or it was pruned too late in the growing season. It can be a prolific grower even in the shade, but it requires 6-8 hours of sunlight a day for good blooming.
